What are heat detection cables?

A heat detection cable (HDC) system is a solution designed to detect abnormal temperature rises and trigger a connected fire suppression system automatically. Unlike point detectors, heat detection cables continuously monitor temperature along their entire length, making them ideal for confined, irregular or high-risk spaces where early fire detection is critical.

The MAUS HDC Series is designed to integrate seamlessly with MAUS fire suppression systems, providing a reliable detection and activation method that helps minimise damage and improve safety.

How do our heat detection cables work?

The MAUS HDC series is used to increase detection areas, allowing you to add heat detecting cables that you easily connect with metal cylinders (included) to connect to the ports on the sides of the unit.

With the Cable Clips you can easily attach the cable inside the enclosure for optimal detection. For larger spaces you can also serial connect more units for increased volume.
