Founded by John Hughes in 2000, Aerocom (UK) Ltd was established as a sole agency of the International supplier, Aerocom GmbH & Co. This was an astute business decision based both on John’s success with Aerocom Ireland, and the positive results when initially introducing the aerocom brand name of pneumatic tube systems into the British market. Through investment in people and infrastructure, a national head office was set up in Nottingham to develop and sustain the growing number of British customers, and their post-installation service requirements.
As market demands change, Aerocom (UK) Ltd adapt, we have now developed supply partnerships with several world-leading manufacturers to add diversity to our product options. Expanding in the field we know best, internal logistics, and can now source a vast range of automated guided vehicles popular in today’s modern hospitals and other industries. We also supply specialised blood sample handling air tube systems that can be integrated with compatible laboratory analysis machinery.
Most of the early aerocom systems from before or around the millennium, were installed in NHS hospitals and used for transporting samples, pharmaceuticals, or documents around extensive and often complex estates. From those first original sites, Aerocom (UK) Ltd has evolved and thrived through sound business management and enthusiastic team effort, primarily by supplying and installing quality products. Backed up with impeccable customer aftercare, we are now one of the leading British companies for internal logistics solutions with several hundred installations in service nationwide.

As the demand has grown in UK hospitals for reliable and technically compliant solutions for sample transportation, so has our client list, and we now have provided well over 100 NHS hospitals and many more private clinics with pneumatic tube system solutions, backed up with quality PPM service and aftercare contracts.
Aerocom (UK) Ltd are currently the Shared Business Services NHS Approved Framework Supplier

Aerocom (UK) Ltd also supply pneumatic tube systems for many other internal logistics applications, with the largest installation in the UK at Airbus Broughton, conveying sealant to the production line for wing manufacture.
