What is an extinguishing grenade?
An extinguishing grenade is a portable fire suppression device designed for emergency use in situations where rapid knock-down of a fire is required. When activated, the MAUS Granate releases an environmentally safe condensed aerosol that rapidly reduces heat and interrupts the combustion process, suppressing flames without depleting oxygen. This makes it suitable for enclosed spaces and areas where traditional extinguishers may be less effective or slower to deploy.

The MAUS Granate Series is built for powerful, reliable fire suppression in a wide range of environments. Each unit features a robust steel housing containing chemical agents that generate a highly effective powdered aerosol when deployed. The aerosol absorbs the flame’s energy and immediately reduces room temperature, stopping the fire at its source.
The MAUS Granate range includes multiple models to suit different operational needs. The MAUS Granate 150 is manually activated portable fire suppression device, featuring a handle, deployment pin, and securing pin. Designed for emergency response by trained personnel, it delivers a rapid knock-down effect and is effective on A, B, C, F, and electrical fires.
The MAUS Granate 150 Automatic is an automatic fire suppression device activated by HDC sensors. Once triggered, it releases aerosol instantly to suppress the fire without manual intervention. MONITOR 2D allows it to function as a fully automatic fire suppression system.
The MAUS Granate 300 Automatic is twice as powerful as the Granate 150 Automatic, this model is designed for larger spaces and higher-risk environments, delivering even greater fire suppression performance.
All MAUS Granate units are waterproof, environmentally friendly, and engineered for high performance in demanding conditions. These devices are not fire extinguishers and are not intended to replace fire extinguishers required under NFPA 10.
