One-touch...

   for better treatment

THE LEADING MEDICAL SAMPLE TRANSPORT SOLUTION

DESIGNED TO PERFORM

TEMPUS600 is a unique and dedicated air tube system specifically designed for transporting standard clinical sample vials without the necessity of using any additional packaging into a separate carrier.

It’s a one-touch, first-in, first-out procedure, designed specifically for hospitals.

Once a sample is taken, it is sent immediately and directly to the lab within seconds with just one simple and safe touch, streamlining the sample transportation procedures for medical facilities.

This promotes a significantly improved total turnaround-time (ToTAT) with enhanced staff safety, reliability, efficiency, and ultimately faster and better patient treatment and care.

TEMPUS600 is currently used in hundreds of hospitals worldwide. It can be quickly and easily installed in both new and existing hospitals and can be connected to most lab automation systems to provide a fast, totally integrated, and effective testing service.

SYSTEM FEATURES

Handling and dispatching multiple samples simultaneously from wards or clinics to the laboratory has never been easier.

With the innovative TEMPUS600 Quantit, up to 25 samples vials can be inserted in one action to be automatically sorted and despatched directly to the laboratory with no further medical staff interaction required.

TEMPUS600 is a closed system, no air is transferred from the ward to the laboratory making the risk of infection or loss of samples practically zero. The system is low maintenance and low risk, quickly returning on the investment in automation through dramatically reducing time otherwise lost using conventional methods of sample transportation.

Single or multiple point systems can be operated by the TEMPUS600 control system. The control panel has multiple functions as standard including:

Performance Analysis
Diagnostics

Dedicated Cleaning Procedures
Remote Access

From simple and efficient point to point systems to batch dispatch and multiple lines integrating with laboratory sample automation systems,  TEMPUS600 provides a full range of cost-effective and streamlining solutions for hospitals.

QUESTIONS?

C0P9343_tempus600_clincal_sample_transpo

Which sample tube dimensions are right for the Tempus600 system?

Tempus600 is compatible with all sample tubes from lengths of 80–110 mm and diameters of 12–18 mm.

Can we send both glass and plastic tubes in a Tempus600 system?

Only sample tubes made of plastic should be sent through a Tempus600 system. We recommend that glass sample tubes are not used in Tempus600 systems.

How do we know if the hospitals sample tubes fit the system?

If the hospitals sample tubes are already registered and approved on the Tempus600 sample tube list, they can be sent in the Tempus600 system.

What is the Tempus600 sample tube list?

It is a list of samples tubes that are approved or rejected by Timedico A/S for use in Tempus600 systems. See the list HERE

How are the sample tubes validated?

Before sending the sample tubes with the Tempus600 system, the sample tubes used in the hospital are tested and approved or rejected by our Support & Quality department. Approved and rejected samples tubes are registered on the Tempus600 sample tube list.

Can we start using the system right after the installation?

We must first commission and approve the Tempus600 system by carrying out a Site Acceptance Test. After approval, the system is ready for use.

What speed do sample tubes travel at?

The speed is typically set to 7-10 m/s. At the Site Acceptance Test, Timedico will adjust the speed of the sample tubes with respect to each unique sample tube, the distance between the ward and the laboratory and the length and installation of the pipeline.

How many sample tubes can we send per hour?

The number of sample tubes that can be sent with Tempus600 systems depends on the type of the actual Tempus600 system installed, the pipeline installation (sending up, distance, corners etc.), and if a separator module is mounted on the receiving unit.

Will the samples be affected when arriving in the laboratory?

No. The samples are not affected when they arrive in the receiving end.

Can a sample tube get stuck in the pipeline?

No. The system is built in a way that prevents tubes from becoming stuck.
