People gathered from almost 40 different countries worldwide to attend the annual sales meeting this year in Budapest, Hungary. The event was staged around the Ensana Thermal Margaret Island Health Spa Hotel, located just north of the city centre on the river Danube island spa resort.
The sales conference on the Friday had slide shows and presentations by several international branches of Aerocom including Aerocom GmbH & Co showing us their latest’s innovations, and of course everyone was keen to show us the latest systems they had installed. Aerocom UK, not to be outdone also presented a slideshow on the history of UK pneumatic tube systems, with Tom Hughes showing off a couple of our own recent projects from both the UK and Ireland.
The ladies in the meantime were exploring the city taking in the sights, restaurants and shopping escorted by a local guide. The gothic buildings and architecture in the older parts of Budapest are remarkable.
In the evening a visit was organised to the Hungarian parliament building which dominates the city. This was followed by dinner party on a floating restaurant cruising the Danube with our Hungarian hosts.
On the Saturday with the conference over a sightseeing trip was organised around the capital with very knowledgeable local guides. For lunch we were treated to a meal out in the countryside located at the Kecskemét, Puszta Plains, and Horse Show, where we also were entertained by a display of Hungarian horsemanship.
The finale of the weekend was the Gala Dinner in central Budapest, a very grand affair in a beautiful building.
And of course the Grande Finale was the presentations, Aerocom UK were presented with an award for the best sales agent in Europe and record sales orders worldwide accepted of course by Tom Hughes. Aerocom Ireland were also centre stage with a special acknowledgement plaque presented by Dr Wolfram Pfitzer to John Hughes commemorating 35 years of trade partnership between APT and Aerocom.
