Aerocom offers the right choice for major hospital applications.

Optimize your internal logistic in hospitals

As in all industries, medical facilities face challenges. Staff shortages, the need to control cost, and the increasing size of the facilities, themselves, are just a few of those challenges. The result is an escalating reliance on technology to maintain and improve the level of service and patient care. Though pneumatic tube systems have been around for nearly a century, their sophistication and capabilities have improved dramatically in the last decade. So today, even more, a properly designed pneumatic tube system can be just the solution to a hospital’s growing challenges and need for improved efficiency.

In addition to relieving vital staff members of the routine transport of lab samples and medications, pneumatic tube systems deliver these items in a fraction of the time. Perhaps even more important than increased efficiency is the fact that critical samples and medications reach their destination in seconds vs. minutes.

No need to stop there! These improvements can be provided to all departments and personnel. The entire medical facility including central pharmacies, cafeterias, kitchens and administrative departments, labs and retail shops can all be networked together. Paperwork, records, and even cash can be more efficiently routed to their intended destinations.

Air Tube Systems for Smaller Clinics

For the smaller clinics and dental practices AC3000 is ideally suited for a computer controlled single zone system. Simple and robust slide sleeve stations are favoured by dental practices for contaminated surgical instrument transportation.

Air Tube Systems for Pharmacies

A great example of our flexibility in design is our integration with pharmacy robotic technology. aerocom GmbH have developed integrated programming with some of the leading pharmacy robot manufacturers, we have already several installations in the UK.

Pharmapost

With the pharmacy robot located on the floor below conveyer belts or chutes cannot supply the dispensary a direct delivery.
Using our custom built air tube integration, the pharmacist calls up the package from the robot which is conveyed through the air tube to the desk.

AGVs

AGV Vehicles for clinics and hospitals

We supply stainless steel automated guided vehicles (AGV) for hospitals or clinical areas.

All bodywork and lift devices are protection class IP54. The vehicles are protected against splash water and can be disinfected with hot steam on all faces—including the underside. The use of AC makes the encapsulated drive very quiet.

In the healthcare industry, the AGV system is planned into all modern new build hospitals. By pre-planning an AGV fleet the advantages are simplified as the trolleys and other types of containers to be transported can be selected to compliment a low loading system such as Caesar or Motormouse

For many existing hospitals, the introduction of an AVG system is complicated by the fact that the large stock of trolleys or containers being designed to manually transport are of differing heights, widths or lengths. A low loader is not feasible as the outlay on new trollies would be a serious cost consideration but flexible solutions are available.

AGV Vehicles for clean rooms

All automated guided vehicle systems (AGVS) can be converted to meet various cleanliness classes. Gas-free batteries and a sealed housing system ensure that they do not emit any dust particles or gases into the clean environment.

AGV Vehicles for pharmaceutical production

In pharmaceutical production, automated guided vehicle systems (AGVs) are available specifically designed to conform to CGMP and FDA requirements. They can be adapted to various cleanliness classes and can also be used in clean rooms. A sealed unit system guarantees they do not emit gases or dust particles into any clean environment.

Our AGV Vehicles made of stainless steel

Hospitals, clinics and food production facilities have specific requirements for hygiene and safety.

Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) in stainless steel can be specifically manufactured with sealed covers and lifting devices to meet water protection class IP54. This allows the vehicles to be disinfected with hot steam on all faces including the underside.
